Hello, and welcome to the Pronoun Wiki's policy page! This page will outline policies for user conduct, editing, and page creation.

This page is protected to allow only administrator edits. Please contact a member of our wiki's staff if you think something should be added or changed.

Other policy pages include the Pronoun Wiki's Citing Standards and Editing Guide.

Additionally, there will soon be community voting for some of these policies.

General

*An "acceptable" identity/pronoun set is one that is coined in good faith (e.g. with helpful, non-satirical intentions).

Editing

  • Please follow the Exampleself editing template when creating or editing a page!

Vandalism

  • On this wiki, vandalism is editing or creating a page with satirical or malicious intent. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Removing content from pages
    • Inserting false information on pages
    • Inserting invalidating messages on pages

Citing Sources

  • Currently, it is not required to cite sources when creating a page unless there is already a pre-existing source.
    • There will be additional community voting on this in the near future.

Posting

  • You will not cyberbully or harass another user(s).

Reporting

Any sort of report is optional; if you see something, we always appreciate the report, but no one is obligated to report anything.

How do I report something that breaks the wiki's policies?

Posts:

  • In the top right corner of each individual message (when scrolled over on desktop; always present on mobile) are three vertical dots. Click these dots, then click the third option in the dropdown, "Report Post".

Pages, individual users, & other issues:

  • Contact one of our wiki staff members on their message walls with a direct link to the problematic page, post(s), edit(s), or other issue. Please be as thorough as possible, so staff can best assist you.

"Do"s & "Don't"s

You should report something if:

  • It intentionally breaks wiki policies.
  • It is invalidating/harassing/bullying another user(s) or group(s).
  • It intentionally creates a problem, starts an argument, or aims to create controversy for no purpose.
  • It is satirical and not created in good faith (especially true of pages).

It's unnecessary to report something if:

  • Another user(s) have already reported it.
  • Someone, especially a member of the wiki staff, have corrected the perpetrator.
    • In minor cases, feel free to remind someone of the rules in a positive (not rude) way.

Off-Wiki Reporting

Blocking

It's important to note that users are almost never blocked on this wiki unless they're obviously a vandal or troll. If a seemingly good-faith user were to breach our policies, the chances of them being blocked are low. After a warning(s), consequences will gradually increase in severity.

  • Length of block depend on the severity of the actions, which are up to the discretion of wiki staff.
