History[]
The words qui and quem originate from the masculine relative pronouns in Latin, translating to "who" and "whom" respectively.[1][2] It is uncertain when qui/quem was first used as an English neopronoun set.
Notably, qui/quem (also spelled varyingly as qi/qem, qi/qim, and quee/quem) is the pronoun set canonically used by the character Ancom (aka Anarcho-Communist)[3], from the YouTube series "Centricide", created by YouTuber JrEg.[4]
